FAQ

  • General Information
    All visitors must report to the park office for registration. Fees must be paid prior to stay. Rates include GST. Child rates apply to children 15 and under. Credit card bookings incur 2% charges. Rates may changes without notice.
  • Prior and Minimum Booking
    ALL CHRISTMAS BOOKINGS MUST BE MADE PRIOR TO OCTOBER 31st MINIMUM BOOKING PERIODS APPLY FOR LONG WEEKENDS/PUBLIC HOLIDAYS
  • Emergency Fire Reels and Exits
    regulations require all caravans are to be fitted with working and tested smoke alarms In case of an emergency go to the Assembly area, next to the public toilets near the entrance of the park – please see map. In case of emergency, please notify staff or call 000.
  • Office hours/Kiosk
    Off peak 9-12pm/4-6:30 pm. Peak season 8am – 8pm. (20th Dec - 26th Jan, Easter & Labour Day). Allow for some time off during early afternoon.
  • General site set up
    Safety and fire regulations require spacing and distance between camps for fire access. it is important to keep a minimum of 1.2 metres between your caravan/tent.
  • Visitor Registration
    All visitors must register at office as per fire regulations registrar; Overnight visitors staying with Park Patrons must ALSO register; Visitors vehicles must be left outside the park.
  • Vehicles
    All cars and bikes are to travel at walking pace only (under 5 km) During peak periods only one car per site allowed in the park.
  • Fires and your responsibility
    If we wish to continue allowing fires the following rules must be adhered to….. Only pre-cut wood is permitted onto the property, you can purchase bags from us. NO USE OF AXES or CHAINSAWS on the property. Under no circumstances are you permitted to remove any vegetation from the surrounding property or bring drift wood, twigs or vegetation onto the property. Strictly no campfires without a fire drum fire drums available at reception Fires are NEVER to be left unattended. All fires must me extinguished by midnight. Open fire drums MUST have a 3m clearance. (No fires on fire ban days!) NO Fires if "Winds" are in excess of 10km please do not dispose of fire remains onto the grounds or surrounding vegetation.
  • Facilities
    Toilet block: Wash all sand off before entering the toilet/shower block. Strictly no wetsuits allowed. A charge of $4 per shower applies to non-guests. An adult must accompany all children under the age of 7 years to the shower BBQ’s Area & Camp kitchen The BBQ and camp kitchen areas are for the convenience of all guests. Please clean after use. Pets We are a pet friendly tourist park. To keep it that way please Adhere to the following: Dogs are prohibited on the Skenes Creek beach From Dec 24th - April 30th between 9am – 7pm. Surrounding beaches - dogs are allowed Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. Guests must pick up after their pets. Excessive dog barking may result in your cancellation of your stay. Dogs are not to be left unattended! Lounge / TV / internet: Chill out in our indoor communal lounge with TV & video and our pool table. Wi-Fi Internet available Generators: Use of generators is prohibited Dryers washing machines: under no circumstances are shoes to be washed or dried in the machines.
